toms = one for one...

TOMS
"with every pair you purchase,
TOMS will give a pair of new shoes
to a child in need. ONE for ONE."

i first heard about TOMS through lola's girl then again from my daughter miss bling and i have been wanting a pair ever since.  and then on our visit to california, BAM! my cousin d had a men's pair on. i was told you could purchase them at nordstorms so whilst shopping in san francisco we headed over there.

they looked super cute, super comfy and every purchase was for a great cause.  unfortunantly, they did not have my size. however, my cousin g walked away with a pair of black ones! yay! a pair for her and a pair for a child in need!
today, i went to nordstroms here in charlotte and they had my size in both black and ash. i decided on the ash so i happily made my purchase and took my new pair of TOMS home with me.  yay! a pair for me and a pair for a child in need!
just in case you're wondering
they come in many colors and a few different styles...

so if you're in the hunt for a new pair of cute and comfy shoes why not purchase a pair of TOMS.
remember...
"with every pair you purchase,
a pair of new shoes goes to a child in need
ONE for ONE."

whilst there...

miss bling came home from the beach yesterday.  so i had both girls home and we headed to the mall to pick a birthday present and to pick up another pair of sunglasses at urban outfitters for miss bling because hers broke at the beach and they were her favorite pair and that's where she bought them.  whilst there, i happened to walk into their dressing room and they had these beautiful chandeliers.  i just had to take a picture.

aren't they pretty?
would love to have these in each of the girls room. how loveLee would that be.
i also noticed that they sold chinese slippers! woah! blast to the past!  i remember that trend back in the days.  i started to have flashbacks of me walking through san francisco's grant ave in chinatown looking for a pair.
my girls love these flutter mini skirts!  they are the hottest trend these days and they sure had quite a selection at urban. the price for each skirt ranged anywhere from $38.00 up to $68.00!  wow, what a mark up!  i thought to myself... i can make these!  well, i could sure at least try.
so after the mall we headed to the fabric store to to pick up the materials i would need to try and create a cheaper version of these flutter mini skirts.  i spent $6.00 for two different types of fabric and some elastic. i will make an attempt tomorrow.  i hope it turns out!  i'll post pics tomorrow, ahem, that's if they turn out.

a day with my girls...

while mr. L and my guy took the guests/family
on a little day trip to duke university and chapel hill,
the girls and i hung out at home in the a.m...
went to my girly's first basketball session,
headed to south park mall for a bit to browse,
and then i took the girls on a surprise
manicure and i got a pedicure.

what a treat!
in a previous post i mentioned i'm not big on prettying my
nails but since both of my girls love
pretty nails
it was a nice surprise for them.
miss bling picked turquoise...
my girly picked green...
and i picked a coral/orange color for my toes!
in the car we had the radio blasting...
we sang to the tunes...
and even danced while driving...
girls day ended with
mocha freeze and chocolate/vanilla swirl yogurt.
a loveLee, simpLee, loveLee day
today with my two
beautiful girls!

My Camera

is a Nikon...a Nikon D3000 to be exact.

I’ve always had a love for photography but never pursued the interest but with the kids growing up and older, some of my time has been freed up to focus on this new hobby and longtime passion of mine. My family gave me my very first DSLR as a birthday/Christmas present and I’ve been snapping away ever since. As of late, I have finished the 2010 Flickr/Blog 365 project (posting a picture and blogging for 365 days)
I will always be…

Just a mom…

with her Nikon DSLR ALWAYS…

droid incredible 8 megapixal phone camera as back up…

and her Macbook…

posting and blogging my everyday life and inspirations!
