bits and pieces of saturday...

had a full day saturday here.

i did my most least favorite chore: grocery shopping...super walmart, costco and a new asian grocery store.  that's where i saw the pocky chocolate crush.  almond and chocolate cookie crunch. yum!

went shopping at the mall with the whole family.

and lastly, i had miss bling cut my hair.  she gave me side swept bangs.  they make me look younger than i already look.  but i guess that's a good thing.

we had a good saturday.  i hope you did too.

just some snapshots...

of my day today.  it's thursday which means it's my friday!  looking forward to my three day weekend which i have every weekend.  friday's are my ME days since the kids have started school and mr. L is at work.  first thing on the agenda in the a.m. is to go on a run and catch up on some little projects i've been meaning to do.  for the rest of the weekend we have no plans but that doesn't mean anything really because most of the times we do things on a whim and that's how we roll and it works.  well, most of the time anyways.

first day...

yes, i am one of those crazy, shutterbug, happy-snapping moms who still takes the "1st day of school" picture. schoolyear 2010-2011.  time sure does fly by!  my guy is now a junior in highschool, miss bling is a sophomore and miss girly is in 7th grade.  sigh...

meal deals...

i heart deals especially when it comes to food.  today it was $1.00 tacos at qdoba's mexican grill.  after taking the kids to do school supply shopping we all headed over there to take advantage of the deal!  

oh, and sorry for the bad quality pics.  i'm really missing nikky (nikon d3000).  i'm going on two weeks without her but it feels like forever.  doesn't it always feel that way when you're eagerly waiting for something?  anyhoo, summer is over for my kids.  they start school tomorrow!  again, looking forward to getting back to a routine!

just a post to say thank you to all of those that come to visit my lil' ole' blog.  i didn't know this but i found out through one of my bloggy friends suzanne that there are 23 million women who either write blogs or read them.  that is an astronomical number!  super huge!  so a million thanks and to all of you who take the time to come by, look at my pictures, read my blog and leave comments.  i will probably never know half the people who make their way over to my little tiny corner of blog land but i really do appreciate your visits!

twas' a great and relaxing weekend.  another week starts tomorrow.  i'm back in full swing at work, my kids officially go back to school starting wednesday and i am really looking forward to getting back to a normal daily routine and schedule. here's to another loveLee week everyone!

the challenge...

1/2 cup of yogurt and fresh strawberries for my snack.

i am one of those who is constantly struggling to lose 5 pounds

and well after the 7 week vacay let's add 4 to that 5!  auuughh!!!

i know, it's what i get for having lack of self control

especially when it comes to food!

well, there are a couple of us in the office

that are struggling to lose those extra few pounds

so yesterday we each set our own personal goals

and challenged each other to get it done by August 19th!

That's 30 days from now.

time for me to get back on track.

which means i'll need to start eating better,

control those portions,  

cut out all of those desserts

 and start running/working out 4-5 times a week.  

arrrghhh!!!  

all of which i have not been doing since even before summer started.

well, not exactly true...

i have run a handful of times in those past several months.  

oh, i'm also going to try out a 7 day free trial...

i entered a giveaway for this book on grammy girlfriends blog but unfortunantly i didn't win : (... however,  i really wanted to read it so i bought it at target.

if you have not yet read the book or watched the movie the blind side you should! it is now one of my favorite movies and the story of Michael Oher and the family who adopted him has become one of the most talked about true stories of our time.  so now, the remarkable couple leigh anne and sean tuohy featured in the blind side tell their own deeply inspiring story in their own way and with their own words in this book In a Hearbeat... i guess you know what i'll be doing after i wrap up this post...heading for bed and grabbing the book that's on my nightstand.
