starting my monday off with a 

strawberry-banana smoothie!

it's summer!

kids are on summer vacay

and everyone gets to sleep in!

i still have to go to work but i do get to sleep in just a tiny bit longer

since we have summer hours at work!

and the countdown has begun!

in 10 days we'll be leaving on a jet plane

to go back home to C-A-L-I-F-O-R-N-I-A

for some summer fun!

we tried this new chain restaurant called genghis grill 

a mongolian stir fry...

you start by building your bowl with meats and veggies of your choice,

then choose your own spices and sauces.

next you choose between, rice, noodles or pasta...

then they grill it right in front of you.

it was good but i've had better.

unfortunantly, i don't think we'll be going back.

miscellany monday...

1.  since blogger was down last week it feels like forever since i've posted.

however, i was thankful for the little break.

2.  the break helped me to fulfill a few orders that needed to go out on saturday.

3.  thankful for customers who come back, re-order & give me the

pleasure of creating something special for loved ones.

above: is a re-order from cathie who was gifting it to a special friend.

below: is a re-order from beth who ordered two more initial charm necklaces

to add to the 11 that she ordered for graduation gifts a couple of weeks ago.

4.  and all weekend i think the girls watched justin bieber's

dvd "never say never"

about a million times!

5.  our doggie mei-mei seems to be quieter than normal

and she's already pretty chill to begin with.

hope she's ok.

top of the morning to you!

{1} the weather over here for the most part of the weekend was...

cloudy, rainy, stormy with lightning and thunderstorms...

and the sun appearing from time to time...

{2} the upper campus at the kids school had a carnival this weekend...

they had an art show with other students

from the other local schools participating...

in the textiles category...

miss bling had her beautiful purple crochet blanket on display

and she won first place!...

that was a pleasant surprise!

{3} selling the above items...

my guy worked at the national beta club booth...

he's the guy in the left with the yellow shirt and the sunglasses

not looking very happy 

cause this shutterbug mom of his

stopped them in the middle of their shift to take a picture.

oh, well...

at least i got the picture.

he'll thank me for it later.

i enjoyed eating for the my very first time ever

collard greens tonight at lifegroup!

it's a southern thang.

mr. L didn't care for it too much and said that i don't need to

add it to my meal rotation.

guess he's not a collard greens kind of guy.

we've had amazing march weather thus far

70's-80's...

but today was a different story.  

the temperature dropped back down to the high of 45 degrees

 and it's only going to get up to the high 60's for the rest of the week

with rain.

what's up with that?

and i was very pleasantly surprised that lowercase letters

featured my post DIY bunting banner on her blog!

i didn't get to work on my spring wreath this weekend 

but i did get everything that i needed for a

whopping total of $5 bucks!

 my girls finally got to watch the justin bieber movie and now

they are even more madly in love with the boy.

we had lifegroup at the schroeter's last night... 

had study and dinner out in the back porch with the

our microwave has been on it's last leg and it finally died on us so we got a new one!

{1} miss girly...

her basketball season came to an end last tuesday night.

unfortunantly, i have to say it wasn't a good season all the way around.

i'm just a wee bit dissappointed about some things that

happened and i've been praying about how i
need to approach and handle the situation.

{2} my parents...

they left last wednesday for the philippines to visit family and attend a reunion.

it's  now monday and i have not heard from them so i had to go on

facebook, send a message to a few relatives asking if they had arrived safely.

thankfully, my cousin replied and said they were there

safe and sound!

(bad parents! shame on them for making me worry!)

{3} taste-tasting...

sunday i attended a launch party for a product

called "eat, think, smile"

it hit lowe's foods here in charlotte last week

and we're the first city to try it!

i'm hoping to write a post all about it later this week.

and lastly...

{4} greek style yogurt...

i finally had some and i really like it!

it's suppose to be better for you yeah?
