aloha e komo mai...
hello and welcome...
(in the hawaiian language)
linking to...
{an opportunity to share photos from the past}
one of our favorite vacation destinations is hawaii!!!
we'd visit with friends, boogie board, lay on the beach,
eat lunch plates and have shave ice from matsumoto's shave ice!
this specific trip was taken at my cousins wedding in oahu...
the girls were the flower girls...
the pictures below were taken in maui...
because hula was a big part of our lives back then and we belonged to a halau (hula group)
i thought it would be fun to do a photo shoot of the girls in traditional hula costumes whilst in maui.
wearing their pa u's (skirts)
adorned with lei's
(lei's encircle necks and heads)
and kupe e's
(kupe e's decorate wrists and ankles drawing attention to the
delicate movements of hands)
i love those feet pics!
a hui hou!
( goodbye, until we meet again)

linking up to saturday snapshot at yellow songbird.
love this link cause it gives me a chance to pour through
gazillions of photos that i take and it gives the photos
a chance to be seen.

i never tire of charleston.
such a beautiful city in the south.
i literally have almost 700 pictures that i took whilst on
our trip last spring.
glad i can link up today and share a few more pics.
yup, just a few...
wish i could share all 700!
anyhoo, we are planning to take our annual charleston trip in may
and i sooooooo can't wait!
such a beautiful city with amazing food!
can't leave the food part out cause i am a big foodie and
food is normally the focus whilst traveling...
that is for me anyways!
happy saturday friends!

{san francisco} saturday snapshots...
sharing old photographs of your yesterdays.
this was taken last summer on our yearly visit back home.
{san francisco, california}
the classic windy, foggy, and cold summer day in the city by the bay
with my daughters, goddaughters and my cousin.
as always leaving our hearts in san francisco.
