catching up and proud momma i am...

catching up...
on things that have been happening with the fam...
before i forget
because i often tend to do that ; ).

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”aaron siskind

my guy and the chick fil a crew!
and here he is at work with one of his coworkers for super hero day...
dressed as spiderman!
kiddos asked for autographs and some even took pictures with him!
well, the school year is wrapping up...
the final days of testing is coming to an end...
and for the record...
here are a some highlights, recognitions & accomplishments...

my guy has been extremely busy...
he spent a few days in NYC with his junior class and they all had a blast!
they did so much in 5 days!
they enjoyed broadways shows, visited NY Times Square,
chinatown, empire state building, grand central station, ground zero...
they rode the subway, they frolicked at central park, they shopped, ate good food...
and made banners and woke up early to stand and get a good spot on the
today show...

on top of school work, testing, working,
he's been putting together and producing a few videos...
the board of directors of the school asked him to
produce a video about the history of the school to present at
the town hall meetings...
he produced a video for the town of monroe...
produced the senior slide show for the school graduation...
and his latest project is
a character education video for the school as well...

below he is receiving awards for student council...
selected and nominated by school administrators
for being good leaders and role models
my guy was selected to be
to be one out of 8 school prefects for the 2011-2012 school year...
such a huge honor!
the eight prefects being recognized and given their awards...
i'm so proud of them!
moving on miss bling
has a prefect for a brother and a prefect for a boyfriend : )...
two awesome and amazing young men!
she has been busy studying hard for her final exams...
she received an excellence award in recognition for achieving honors for the third quarter
and she's hoping to make it for the fourth quarter ...
she's been training and conditioning for a spot on the varsity football cheer squad...
there was a process of a two day try out...
learning a chant, cheer, dance and jumps that each girl had
to learn and perform for the try out...
super stressed and thinking that she didn't make it...
i'm proud to say that her hard work paid off and she
will be part of the varsity cheer team next school year...
making it her 2nd year to be on the football varsity squad.

miss bubbles also received an excellence award in recognition for
achieving honors for the third quarter and like her sissy...
she's hoping to make it on for the final & 4th quarter of the year.
sadly, miss bubbles middle school soccer season
has come to an end...
it was a very good season for the team.
and she had the opportunity to bond with girls that she probably
wouldn't have been able to if she hadn't played for the team.
below is the middle school girls soccer team at the spring sports assembly...
with their soccer coach mr. b!
and that's a wrap for this catch up post...

super proud of their big and small accomplishments!
 such a proud momma...i am!

Holy moly, your kids are super achievers! How lucky are you?! Each of your kids are incredible and I could just feel how proud you are of each of them. As well you should be! Hopefully I can learn a thing or two from you as you seem to be doing a helluva job!
