last time...

today was the last time some of them will be seeing their friend chinny.  he's the guy in the black t-shirt and he's one of my son's best friends, a really great kid.  even i'm gonna miss seeing and having him around.  he's moving to chicago and they are all pretty bummed.  this photo was taken before they went to eat their last meal together with him.

he will certainly be missed.  lots of hugs and lots of tears were shed.  it's always so hard to say goodbye.

mother's day love...

at 7:00 a.m.. this sunday morning i heard the sounds of footsteps scurrying down the steps.  then i heard the garage door open and off the three of them went.  15 minutes later i was served breakfast in bed.
the menu:
dunkin' donuts garlic bagel with cream cheese, mc donald's pancakes, a hashbrown and my cup of morning coffee.  sweet!

along with breakfast were my annual mother's day letters/cards to me.  each had heart felt words of appreciation.  as i read each one i was brought to tears, along with smiles and lots of laughter in between.

a few words from my guy=tears
"i really appreciate all that you do.  even if i don't like it i know it's for a good reason."
"i know i can come to you for anything because i trust you"

a few words from miss bling=laughter
"i just wanted to say that even though i do get in trouble and get lectured a lot it makes your life more interesting. how boring would your life be if i didn't give you that challenge?"
"your the bomb.com...have a good stress free day...you mean a lot to me and i love you sooo much mother!"

a few words from miss girly=smiles
"seeing your face each day is a blessing to me"
"thanks for loving, caring and supporting me, words can't describe how i feel"

and because i am a mall rat and i love to window shop that's what we did for mother's day.  it was so nice just being together.
I captured these ads at the sephora store with my phone camera.  it definitely states the heart of motherhood.

and in closing, raising three kids, now in their teens has proven to have it's challenges and struggles as well as it's joys and blessings.  i am not perfect, i rant and i rave, i lose my patience and i am stubborn as a mule but it's only through God's grace that i can continue to grow to be the nurturer, thoughtful, selfless, compassionate, giving, loving, generous and devoted mom.  I will always be a work in progress.i heart the words of wisdom from my sis "keep resting in Christ as you mother in these teen years"

thank you to my three loves and hubby...i had a very loveLee and special mother's day.

her prom...

tonight my guy took his girlfriend to her junior prom.
she looked beautiful in her dress and he looked handsome in his tuxedo.
both moms had their cameras happily snapping away.
snapping for memories and for family members
(grandparents, aunts and uncles)
who are anxiously awaiting to get a glimpse of her with the "boyfriend"
and he with the "girlfriend".

my heart melted, i'm sure her mom's did too.
seeing the two of them,
don't they just look absolutely sweet?
chivalry is not dead...
his dad and i continue to remind him to treat her with utmost
 respect, courtesy and honor.
so there he is opening the door for her to let her in
(quickly glancing to check if the car is clean.)
and off they went to meet their group of friends for group pictures
and for a sweet group dinner.
i'm sure they will have a very loveLee evening.

spring break...

for me started at approximately 2:00 p.m. today when i left work.
staff and students were all so ready to get out and be free from school for a total of 9 days!
 woot! woot!
so my plan is to get some spring cleaning done around the house.

working (even at part-time) + parenting = household neglect.
this is the pile of towels and sheets that need to be washed after a week of
family visiting and this doesn't even include sheets and pillowcases
plus our own regular laundry.
weed through all of the junk mail collected on my desk...
keep or not to keep...
i'm hoping to dust/vacuum all the blinds in the house...
and getting to cleaning all of our baseboards...
lastly, mop down the hardwood floors throughout the first floor.
i know, not exactly spring break fun but it all needs to get done.

my guy and miss bling were both invited to go to the beach with their friends
so they will be gone starting tomorrow and won't return till thursday
of next week.  in the meantime, miss girly will be home with me and mr. L and
oh, and i can't forget miss mei-mei.  we'll actually get a taste of what
it's like to have an only child.  well, in between my spring cleaning mode
miss girly and i have plans to have some mommy and me time.
shopping, eating, mani's, movies...

what are you all planning for spring break?
if you already had spring break what did ya'll do?

happy, happy, spring break everyone!
