instaweekend love...

the weekend started off with...

a lunch date with little julianna and her mommy joana

over pad thai noodles at a local thai restaurant.

soccer, soccer, and more soccer....

over a weekend long soccer tournament....

there were lots of bonding time between the girls

over down time during lunch and dinner...

the girls did a fantastic job

and won 3 out of 4 games coming in 2nd place overall!

they really could have won first place but there were 3 girls missing

causing the team to have NO subs and after

playing two games the night before and a game early in the 

morning....

they really needed sub time.

but oh, well.  

it is what it is and 2nd place is still a great win!

dinner was over at fuddruckers and this guy ted...

feasted on this oh, so yummy humongous whopper size of a burger

and yes, he finished it!

and the weekend ended with 

my long run with meagan at the local YMCA track...

which started at dusk....

and ended in the dark.

over a few thousand pairs of shoes for the organization

and by the last day of Love Week 2012

which was yesterday...

i was thrilled to read this tweet.... 

that 50,000 hours of service was officially passed!

stories of people being on the receiving end of love week

has been quite moving.

lives touched, lives changed, seeds planted...

"to God be the Glory"

on another note,

that long run i did on friday?

well, it was a looooooooong one...

so i rewarded myself with some homemade....

 shrimp and mushroom fettuccini...

a bag of my favorite chocolate of which i shared with the kids...

and another fave...

key lime cupcake which i split in half with maddie!

she's 17 and instaweekend love...

17 years ago today

our second little blessing came along...

our pediatrician always told us from the day

she was born that...

"this one is going to be one tough cookie and

she's going to hold her own."

boy, was he right!

happy birthday

to my one tough cookie...

i love you to the moon and back

even in our moments

and boy do we have them!

saturday i did the most surprising thing ever...

what started out as a 5 mile long run for the morning

turned into 6, 7, 8, 9 then 10!

 i'm feeling a little more 

confident that i will actually be able to

start and finish a half marathon

which i want to cross of my bucket list this year.

maybe i will : ).

enjoyed some frozen yogurt

at orange leaf during a mall trip with maddie...

magnets passed out at church

this weekend started off with...

receiving red envelopes in the mail from grandma

for chinese new year...

me in my red toms for my late

birthday lunch date with the sis...

and together we enjoyed a general roll sushi

and a sesame shrimp and chicken bento box special.

friday night since both michael and meagan 

were working the hubby, maddie and myself

had dinner at our favorite mexican restaurant.

for brekky on saturday i had special k fruit and yogurt...

sunday morning we had to be at church really early

so hubs made a run for dunkin' donuts for

our sunday brekky...

not the healthiest but it was very yummy!

i finally organized my little craft/work area...

it was a disaster before the clean up

and it feels so good to know i've crossed that 

off my list of things to do...

lastly, the weekend ended with 

meeting with our lifegroup and 

going over chapter five 

of the prodigal son by tim keller.

that's my weekend in insta pics via my iphone 4...

as usual..

it was short and sweet

we had a very full weekend...

maddie had 2 basketball games back to back.

one on saturday and one on sunday.

and michael had one too on saturday night.

(nope, no pics)

it was very chilly this weekend and on 
on cold days

i like to make nutella hot chocolate...

a recipe that carissa from lowercase letters 

shared on her blog.

1 cup of milk

2 tbs of nutella

melt over stove while stirring.

so, so, so...good.

i enjoyed a nice 3 mile run saturday morning...

inspired by two of my blogger friends...
 jozen of lolasgirl

who completed her 2nd 10K...
and carissa again of lowercase letters
who finished her first half marathon!
thanks ladies for the inspiration!

hand stamped this charm for my cousin

who ran her 1st and 2nd half marathon...

and wanted a 26.2 charm for inspiration

since her goal is to run one this year.

i went shopping with meagan and spent

at least 2 hours at F21!

had a big box meal at taco bell for 5 bucks

which included a 

taco, a crunch wrap and a crunchy beef burrito!

now that's a deal!

and...

no, i didn't eat all of that myself...

well, i probably could have but i didn't...

meagan and i shared it.

enjoyed the last few days during the weekend

of code orange revival with

amazing speakers such as 

bishops TD jakes on friday night..

james mc donald on saturday night...

and pastor steven furtick closing it out sunday night!

12 speakers, 12 nights of bold preaching...

hundreds came to accept christ into their lives...

200 or so were baptized...

lives changed and challenged...

to God be the Glory!

the weekend ended with watching our 49'ers play the NY giants!

unfortunantly, we lost but we are still proud of how far

they have come!

win or lose we will always be 49'er faithfuls!

12 nights of God's word spoken

through 12 of the most powerful pastors and speakers

started last wednesday....

 and because of schedule conflicts

we didn't get to attend our first code orange revival until friday!

 the lines were crazy long but we got in

and had the opportunity to be blessed by

matt chandler of the village church in highland, texas.

 we also enjoyed a very exciting san francisco 49'er game!

 i started reading this book...

recommended by a blogger friend...

i grabbed a birthday gift for a friend at anthro...

and i caught mei-mei...

doggie texting on the i Pad!

ended the weekend with a powerful

message by christine caine!
