she's been replaced...

i waited for 4 weeks to get my nikon d3000 back from the camera shop for a very minor repair only to find out that it got lost in transit somewhere.  to make a very long story short i had to convince the store manager to give me a new camera in its replacement because of their mistake.  can you believe they were going to make me wait until they found out where it was.  thanks, but not thanks, i've waited long enough.  so i gently reminded him that this was their fault and i was inconvenienced long enough.  i kindly asked him to please give me a new one in its replacement so we can put this all behind us.  thankfully, he agreed and i now have a new nikon d3000.  however, it's sad to know that nikky is lost somewhere in transit but thankful for a new one to replace her.

everyone...please give a warm hello to nick.  he's my new shutter bug buddy. ; )

oh wow, a camera got lost in transit?? that's hard to believe since it's quite large, maybe someone stole it?? that would be sad... but at least you got a new camera out of it, good job convincing the store manager! :) can't wait to see more pics!

Funny, I was holding a Canon Rebel SLR in my hand yesterday at Walmart! Just wishing it could be mine!

I am reading your blog from my dad's laptop at my parents house. Just Husband and I waiting for my parents to bring the kids home!

I think you did the right thing to ask for a new one. Because they had lost yours so you had every right to get a new one. It's sad that they didn't know where it went though and that is quite a long time to wait.

Maybe your old camera will come back too?!

So glad you got a new one! I can't imagine losing my Nikon even if only having it for 6 months. BTW, what is your favorite lens, I'm looking for a new one.
