{D.I.Y} strawberry trifle in a jar...

meeting with some friends tonight for dinner and i told her i would bring dessert.  i had a 1/2 a case of strawberries left that i bought from costco so i decided to make a strawberry trifle, well more like trifles.  i normally put everything in a trifle bowl like the recipes call for but inspired by  joy's hope: mason jar cupcakes i thought i would make mason jar strawberry trifle/s.

easy strawberry trifle recipe:

2 quarts fresh sliced strawberry
1 (10 oz) strawberry glaze
1 box yellow cake mix
1 (6 ounce) package vanilla instant pudding
1 (16 oz) cool whip
slice strawberries and mix with strawberry glaze and set aside to get sweet.
make pudding according to package
bake cake according to package
when cake is cool, cut into cubes
in a trifle bowl or in jars start layering accordingly
1. cake
2. strawberry glaze mix
3. pudding
4. coolwhip
repeat layers ending with cool whip
cover and refrigerate for about 3 hours
at 6:00 p.m. we headed over to the k"s house for dinner and brought 4 strawberry trifles in a jar for dessert.  one for each of us.
dinner was deelish as always because acoording to miss girly mrs. k is the best cook ever!
ending the evening with the best dessert ever! wink...wink...

bon appetit!

girl, this looks yum. So cute to have for an outdoor party or something like that. You're so creative. I'm stuck at the airport in Long Beach. I've never flown into this airport but it is soooo small. I feel like I'm in an old portable classroom. lol. Your dad is so sweet. Tell him thanks for the invite. Not sure when I'll be in Sac. Everything is up in the air.
