we left new jersey this morning continuing our trip towards home. an hour into our drive i realized i left nikky's battery and charger at the hotel. auuughhh! so my pictures for today were taken with my aunts camera.
we were on the road for a very good part of the day. about 7 hours or so and arrived at williamsburg, virginia at 5 p.m..
we headed to the colonial williamsburg historic area to walk around but as soon as we got there we got caught in a little summer downpour. we ended up soaking wet so we headed to the hotel and will be heading back tomorrow morning for a few hours before we do our last 6 hour leg of our road trip. destination...home!

we went here a couple years ago! Too bad you didn't have enough time to go to Historic Jamestown. Really neat to see the first settlers and the drive along James River is beautiful. You may be home by the time you read this. Home Sweet Home.

I love that you stop off the road and take pictures by the signs :) All my kids remember about Williamsburg was the horse poop in the streets. Go figure!
We have been to W'burg many times and it's one of our favorite destination. Too bad about the downpour, but hopefully that cooled things down a bit!
