16/365 Through Our Kitchen Window

16/365 Through our window, originally uploaded by 1randomgirl.
Day 16/365 photo was pretty random. I'm sure I'll have many of these random days. Here's a shot looking through our kitchen window.  It was a cold and dreary day today.

I attended my first class through Ritz University. I mentioned in an earlier post that the classes came with the purchase of a camera through Ritz. Today's class was called "Introduction to DSLR Photography". It was a 2 hour class and basically it's a "jump start" class on learning basic operation of a DSLR. The instructor touched on things like apeture, shutterspeed ISO, filters, different types of lenses and much more. All of us in the room got our cameras for Christmas and all of us had NO clue on how to use it and NO idea on what we were doing. LOL! After the class I did walk away with a little more know-how on Nikky (my name for her) but just a little bit to be quite honest. There's so much more to learn, we just barely touched the surface. The best tip given to us was to shoot, shoot, shoot and in order to do that, Nikky will be attached to my hip...we'll be inseparable...two peas in a pod : ).

Now, over to another subject...girly cute and her team won their basketball game today by 1 point in the last oh, maybe 30 seconds of the game. It was a pretty exciting game but ending in a not so fun way but I'm not going to talk about that.  Let's just leave it at they won!
