it's summer!

kids are on summer vacay

and everyone gets to sleep in!

i still have to go to work but i do get to sleep in just a tiny bit longer

since we have summer hours at work!

and the countdown has begun!

in 10 days we'll be leaving on a jet plane

to go back home to C-A-L-I-F-O-R-N-I-A

for some summer fun!

last week marked the end of our school year...

and here's what the teacher appreciation committee

surprised the staff with...

for japan with love...

we are very thankful that our friends 

(my son's godparents)

are safe from the devastation in japan.

i will be participating along with many other bloggers from

around the world in bloggers day of silence.

honoring those who were lost in the tragedy and those who

are still suffering.

there was a fun blog crawl going on in blogland that i totally missed and i kinda just wanted to play along on my own.

i have a bag fetish and i have a collection of them...

at the moment i am currently using this bag made by big buddha...

1. my favorite coach wallet

2. my favorite coach sunglasses

3. anne klein eyeglasses

4. hand lotion

5.  giftcards & coupons

6. my droid incredible which i can't live without but really wishing it was an iphone : ).

7. make-up case with a few basic products

(lip gloss, lipsticks even though i don't use them much, compact mirror, travel hairbrush, viva la juicy travel lotion, viva la juicy travel gel perfume)

8. travel size first aid kit.

9. notebook at hand for when i need to jot down those ideas, thoughts, lists.

10. not pictured: my keys with all of my keychain club cards and bath & body hand sanitizer  

11. and more often than not i throw nikky (nikon d3000) in the mix because this bag can hold it all!

something new...

i've had my eye on this coffee machine since a friend of mine purchased one a while ago.  and since then another friend bought one because of the same mutual friend and a few more friends have mentioned that they had one and absolutely loved it.  so when the big sale at belk's department store happened to come along i had to buy one for myself.   the price was pure awesomeness and i used it for the first time tonight and can i say....loooooooovee it!

the goal...

A trunk full of Christmas gifts! The goal is to get my Christmas shopping done by the 1st of December. Funny thing is every year I seem to have the same goal but I have yet to meet that goal. I am determined to do it this year. I'm halfway done! Yay me!

This is a really lame picture for the day but its the only one I took. After church we went to have lunch at hibachi grill buffet. It's a new restaurant in town. We love checking out new place to eat...another one of my favorite pastimes.

The holiday season that is. I took the girls to the mall today, one of our favorite pastimes and the mall and stores were already decked out with Christmas decorations! It is my favorite time of the year but I am so not ready!
