they left...

my parents and auntie left this morning. sigh.  my guy and i drove them at 5:30 a.m.. to catch an 8:00 a.m. flight back to california. our guest bathroom and bedroom sure has been put to good use this past month with family coming and going.  of course the day was filled with cleaning the guest bedroom and bathroom.

                          

and of course there were towels and sheets that were used by the guests that needed to be laundered. and my girly gets her bedroom and bed back because she gave up her room for my auntie to stay in.  we surely will miss a house full of guests it's been busy but a boat load of fun.  however, there's still more fun to be had...summer is not over yet and i'm still pondering on a decision i need to decide tomorrow....to go or not to go?...hummm....

this picture pretty much sums up my day.  i slept in and then went back to bed for another 2-3 hours in the afternoon.  i think all of the driving, lack of sleep and fun finally caught up to me.  oh, and i also unpacked and did some laundry in between.

hope your friday is going well.  it's back to reality for me.  my guests have left so sheets, blankets, pillowcases and towels needed to be washed, dried, and put back on the bed for the next guests to arrive.   like i mentioned yesterday they will be arriving on wednesday.  i know i have plenty of time before then but its best i get it done sooner rather than later.

i am a homebody and i enjoy just being home.  i keep myself busy at home by doing chores i like and dislike ie: cleaning, organizing things in the home, crafting, decorating, moving furniture, blogging, cooking (even though it's my least favorite thing to do) etc.  so i've decided to start a series called mornings and evenings inspired by the book.   i might write about it or i might just let the pictures tell you. i don't know if it will be something i will do randomly, weekly or never again. we'll just have to see.  i just thought it would be a fun series.

anyhoo, monday mornings are normally not loveLee.  it usually takes me a little longer to get up and out of bed which then results in being behind in all that i have to do.  this morning was a mess with piles of dishes that needed to be washed. my preference would have been to get the dishes done before going to work but there was no time for that so i had to leave it for after work.  i don't enjoy coming home to a sink full of dirty dishes.  it's just a pet peeve of mine and because it's my pet peeve i normally try to do them before i leave. but that did not happen this monday.
