fun and busy...

it's gonna be a fun & busy weekend!

fun because both my guy and miss bling will be going to the prom with

their respective dates.

i'm just oozing with joy

and can't wait to see them both donning their prom attire!

and busy because i'm gonna be working on a few

orders that i need to get mailed out for

mother's day!

fun & busy...

it's all good...

i'm thankfully blessed.

top of the morning to you!

{1} the weather over here for the most part of the weekend was...

cloudy, rainy, stormy with lightning and thunderstorms...

and the sun appearing from time to time...

{2} the upper campus at the kids school had a carnival this weekend...

they had an art show with other students

from the other local schools participating...

in the textiles category...

miss bling had her beautiful purple crochet blanket on display

and she won first place!...

that was a pleasant surprise!

{3} selling the above items...

my guy worked at the national beta club booth...

he's the guy in the left with the yellow shirt and the sunglasses

not looking very happy 

cause this shutterbug mom of his

stopped them in the middle of their shift to take a picture.

oh, well...

at least i got the picture.

he'll thank me for it later.

sweet sixteen...

16 years ago today...

God blessed me with one of my 3 blessings.

she's beautiful, strong willed, artistic, feisty, creative, funny, challenging, witty, generous and always thankful for the big and small things.  oh, she definitely has her moments (what teenager doesn't) but thankfully we roll right through them : ).  i am very proud of the young lady she's becoming and when i think of her and my other two blessings it's with all the love a mom's heart can hold.

ok, i am really tired of this cold weather...

this afternoon it got a teeny tiny bit warmer

but i am so ready for winter to be over

and looking forward to

some warmth from the sunshine...

but i gotta hang in there for another month or two

but hopefully not three!

been missing since December 28th and has yet to be found.

We are still hoping and praying that she'll come home.

i was terribly sad that i had to leave so soon.  thank you for letting me spend a few days with you.  i had the most fantabulous time walking through the streets, alleyways, paths of your most loveLee city, capturing the charm, character, the amazing architecture and beautyness that you behold.  i have fallen in love with everything about you such as these...

which made for a very loveLee weekend indeed, and I will most certainly come visit you again soon.  I know there's still so much you have to share with me but until then, you will always hold a special place in my heart.  until we meet again. 

favorite things friday...

first, i just wanted to say thank you to those who encouraged me to continue this project365 journey!  your words of encouragement are greatly appreciated by this lil' ole blogger.

onto a few favorites...

my kids and their friends... they come, they hang out, they laugh, they play video games they have dinner....tonight these kids are participating in relay for life, at a local high school, money raised is used to support the american cancer society.

                

spending a nice friday evening playing ball with the neighborhood lil' kids and the big kids too!

capturing lil' miss L with her handpicked bouquet of flowers she picked from her backyard and proudly sharing it with me.

lastly, spending the rest of the evening just relaxing and looking forward to another busy weekend ahead.  graduation ceremony and mother's day on sunday.

the kids had friends over to hang out...

saturday's church picnic on the church property...

my girly's basketball game...

watched my niece in a local play...

and ended the weekend 

with our lifegroup family.

tonight my guy took his girlfriend to her junior prom.  

she looked beautiful in her dress and he looked handsome in his tuxedo.

both moms had their cameras happily snapping away.

snapping for memories and for family members

(grandparents, aunts and uncles)

 who are anxiously awaiting to get a glimpse of her with the "boyfriend"

and he with the "girlfriend".

seeing the two of them,

don't they just look absolutely sweet?

chivalry is not dead...

his dad and i continue to remind him to treat her with utmost
 respect, courtesy and honor. 

so there he is opening the door for her to let her in

and off they went to meet their group of friends for group pictures

and for a sweet group dinner.

i'm sure they will have a very loveLee evening.
