today...

girly cute, cuppy cake and I spent

hours this morning

in the backyard

enjoying the ice, snow

and

the sun shining

brightly
 making everything
 shimmer and sparkle...

it was icy
and I Heart
the sound of our
footsteps
crunching as we walked
crunch...crunch...crunch

girly cute made some ice

that spelled out

I heart u...

she used a beach board

to slide down

the icy slope in 

the backyard.

and cuppycake

had a her experience sliding

down too,

she didn't like it much.

Oh, it was another happy snow day

and 

we may get to experience 

more next weekend.

30/365 a snow day...

Our first snowstorm came through...

It was delightful to look out the windows and see this...

it wasn't as much as previous years...

but there was enough...

before heading out...

we enjoyed some double chocolate chocolate muffins...
yes, there's always something sweet to eat in this house...

then we headed out for some fun...

we'd go out for a while...
to the point where our fingers would get numb...
then...

we'd head back in...
to warm up...

while some of us played...

there was a couple who opted to stay indoors

to stay warm...

i sipped on coffee...

I Heart coffee...

especially on a cold day like today...

someone said we need some chili...

so Mr. L cooked a pot...

because he's the better cook between the two of us...

*what a blessing*

we didn't have all the ingredients for his normal

chili recipe so he improvised...

and it was deelish...

while it cooked girly cute and my other guy went back

out and played some more

yes, that is a longboard...

we didn't have a sled...

so that's what he used...

it worked...

even cuppy cake

got to frolick in the snow

and I had an opportunity to

shoot with Nikki

it was a nice, relaxing, stay at home, snow day today...

29/365 let's meet for sushi...

6 weeks later...

after my birthday...

my sis took me out for sushi...

these moments are far and few between...

it's not like she's far away or anything...

she lives in the neighborhood right behind me...

i can walk, run, bike there if I wanted to...

but...

life's just full and busy that we don't often

get to sit down and chat...

when we do...

it's always in passing...

so today...

at our favorite sushi restaurant...

i enjoyed having sushi with my sis...

and the time we had to catch up...

sweet times!

p.s. we're suppose to get a snowfall tonight...

hoping to wake up to...

a winter wonderland...

Thankful that Mr. L and I celebrated our 18th anniversary...


Thankful that I didn't have to work  today or tomorrow making


for a long 4 day weekend...sweet!


I am thankful that my family is home...

26/365 an ordinary day

I worked a couple of extra hours at work then headed home

to pick up Miss Bling to take her to the ortho. Her teeth are looking really good so

she's hoping to get them off sooner rather than later.

She asked me what color she should pick this time for her rubber bands and I said turquoise...

I heart that color on her and so that's the color she had put on

Miss Bling with her beautiful smile!

then I was asked "What's for dinner?"

The easiest thing to make ever....

Sorry to dissappoint but I don't make my

spaghetti sauce from scratch.

And in this house

there's always something sweet to eat.

25/365 Celebrating 18 years with Mr. L!

Time sure flies by!  We enjoyed a nice anniversary dinner at one of our favorite local Mexican restaurants last Saturday night because Monday nights are often quite busy.  We were on our way home from dinner talking about how 18 years just flew by.  It certainly has been a good 18 years filled with lots of good times and bad, ups and downs. Thankful, that Christ has been our rock that continues to bind this marriage together.  We are both a work in process still learning and growing together as a couple as well learning and growing to be good parents. Both will be a life long journey.

24/365 Toddler Room Time!

I didn't have the time to photograph a church today but I did capture pictures of three little ones at church.  Once a month the family and I have the opportunity to help serve in the toddler room.  Today was that day! This is when I can get my little munchkin fix since mine are way well beyond those years.  We only had three little adorable girlie munchkins today.

On the way home from church.

What a blessed day!  Mr. L grilled some delicious steaks and we ate that with his famous potato wedges. I took my Sunday afternoon nap then lifegroup to end the evening.  Sweet!  Looking forward to the week ahead!
