Black Friday Find

For quite some time now I have been wanting to upgrade from a point and shoot camera to a DSLR!  I love capturing moments through pictures and I take lots of pics, however, not necessarily professional photography quality.  My interest peaked even more into getting a DSLR when I was watching one of my daughters soccer games and he was showing me all the pictures he was taking of the girls playing and they were so cool!  His pictures compared to my point and shoot casio were 100 times better than mine and since then I have been wanting to get one of my own.  So, Black Friday rolls around and I just happened to stumble upon this deal in the Costco ad.

However, after seeking some advice from a photographer friend of mine, she gave me a tip and told me to check Wolf's Camera because when you purchase a camera through they throw in their photography classes for FREE!  Now, that's what I'm talking about.  So, I headed to the nearest Wolf's camera armed with my Costco ad and checked to see if they had the same deal going on.  Unfortunantly, they did not, but the manager was very willing to give me the same deal plus the $200.00 worth of classes which I could not have gotten through Costco. So, I convinced myself it was worth the investment...made the plunge...and bought the camera!

*gulp*...yes, I walked out with a bit of buyer's remorse but I know it will be worth it in the long run!

That about wraps up my birthday and Christmas present for the next year or two!  Now, I just hope to find some time to squeeze in those FREE photography classes in the new year!  Can't wait!

Whew!

Meagan finished her 30 hours of in class drivers training and is now awaiting to start behind the wheel training but it won't be for another few months since there are many others ahead on the list.  However, she is really glad that she's done.

On another note, it sure has been a long 2 1/2 weeks for Michael.  Basketball tryouts for school was a very, very long process this time around. The reasons???? Well, too many to share but we are so glad that it's over.  The roster finally came out and with a sigh of relief Michael's name was on the roster!  When team uniforms were handed out he ended up #22 again!

First game was the following day and the JV boys team won!  Definitely a great way to start the season! Let's see how the rest of the season plays out!  Go #22! Go Cardinals!

UA Homecoming Court 2009!

A once in a lifetime opportunity and wonderful memories created, both Michael and Meagan were on homecoming court. Nominated by their peers, they were voted on by their grade level classmates, the top 5 ladies and gentlemen from each grade make up the homecoming court.

The rest of the Homecoming pictures

And an awesome way to end the homecoming game...last 8 seconds of the game UA Cardinals win by making a field goal...16-14! Michael and Meagan finished the evening by dancing the night away at the homecoming dance.
I'm cherishing, enjoying and having a great time living life with my kids because in the blink of an eye these years will be gone!
